Night Photography Workshops in North Yorkshire and the North East
Photography doesn’t have to stop when the daylight disappears. Working after dark opens up a completely different world of creative possibilities, from colourful reflections and light trails to illuminated buildings, dramatic skies and beautifully atmospheric long exposures.
My night photography workshops are relaxed, practical sessions designed to help you understand how your camera behaves in low light. We’ll look at choosing the right aperture, shutter speed and ISO, focusing in darker conditions, controlling exposure, composing after sunset and using a tripod effectively. I’ll explain everything clearly as we work, with plenty of time to experiment and receive individual help.
The workshops take place at carefully selected locations across North Yorkshire and the North East, chosen for their photographic opportunities after dark. You don’t need previous night photography experience or the latest equipment—just your camera, a suitable tripod and an interest in trying something different. The aim is to help you feel confident working beyond daylight and come home with photographs you’re genuinely excited about.
