Landscape Photography Workshops in North Yorkshire and the North East
Some landscapes stop you in your tracks, but getting your camera to capture what you can see and feel isn’t always as straightforward as it looks. My landscape photography workshops are relaxed, practical sessions designed to help you slow down, study the scene and make more confident decisions about light, composition and camera settings.
Held in beautiful countryside and coastal locations across North Yorkshire and the North East, including the North York Moors and Yorkshire coast, the workshops cover exposure, aperture and depth of field, focusing, composition, changing light and getting the best from equipment such as tripods and filters. Most of the learning takes place through practical photography, with plenty of time to experiment, ask questions and receive individual guidance.
You don’t need the latest camera or years of experience. Whether you’re still getting to grips with your settings or simply want to improve the way you approach a landscape, I’ll help you understand the process and create photographs that feel considered, personal and true to the place in front of you.
Time: 9:30am - 1:30pm
Cost: £50
Take your landscape photography beyond the basics with this immersive, hands-on workshop led by professional photographer, Stu Brown.
Designed for photographers who are ready to build confidence in the field, this relaxed experience focuses on developing the skills needed to capture stunning images in real-world situations.
Rather than spending the day in a classroom, you'll head out onto the reserve to put your camera into action. Learn how to choose the right settings for changing conditions, master autofocus, improve exposure, refine your composition, and make the most of natural light.
Beyond the technical skills, the workshop offers the chance to slow down, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors.
Each participant will also receive Stu Brown's professionally produced Landscape Photography Field Guide to take home. Packed with practical camera settings, fieldcraft techniques, focusing tips, exposure advice, composition, mini projects and space for your own field notes, it's the perfect companion to continue your photography journey. Whatever you're hoping to capture this friendly, supportive workshop is designed to help you learn, practise, ask questions and leave inspired.
