WHY JOIN ONE OF MY PHOTOXCURSIONS IN 2024?

Photography has several therapeutic benefits linked to our mental health. When we suffer from mental illness, anxiety, or any number of mental health challenges our self-esteem and mood drops.

My Photoxcursions offer a safe place where you can escape from the stresses of everyday life. From someone who struggles with mental health issues, the camera offers me a chance to reset my state of mind, giving me a much-needed break from the world enlightening my mood. Being around like-minded photographers, in nature, gives you the opportunity to showcase your creativity, allowing you to detach yourself from your responsibilities. My workshops deliver not only technical knowledge but also give me the chance to photograph  new locations, in a safe environment, they become a fun social event.

WHAT HAPPENS ON A PHOTOXCURSION?

Firstly I can collect you on the way to the various locations we’ll visit. Once there, we’ll explore together as a group, capturing all the photo opportunities we can. I’ll be on hand to give and advice or guidance should you want, but other than that its yours to enjoy . There will be plenty of café stops too. I keep the photoxcursions to maximum of 6/7 people which gives a more intermate group feel.

They are a lovely relaxed, social event that are fun to attend

WHAT DO I NEED FOR A PHOTOXCURSION?

Well, we can start off with yourself, then a camera. An SLR is ideal, but any camera will do. If you don’t have a camera, don’t panic. I have a selection of SLR camera for you to hire if you need, Similarly with the tripods too. Then you need to make sure you have suitable clothing and footwear.

Please keep checking back as I add new photoxcursions monthly, thank you.
